Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power – It’s Official!

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and thank you so much for coming by. So I’ve been dying to share this news with you and it’s official so now I can. We’ll come back to our series on friends and friendship tomorrow but grab whatever you’re having and come on in. This news is so exciting. I wish I could climb to the top of a mountain and shout it.

So about two months ago, my son came to George and me and shared a little secret with us. As a matter of fact, he asked if George would go with him to help him out. George was more than happy to do so. So for two months, or thereabouts, Jeff has been saving and sacrificing for this secret and I have to tell you it’s been so much fun and also a huge blessing to watch the personal growth take place in him and his character develop beautifully all because of this secret.

He’s had to truly sacrifice, like he’s never done before. He had to put someone else’s needs ahead of his own; he also had to go without many times in many ways, and not once did he complain. He kept pressing through. Several times he admitted that the devil was on his tail, but he knew the reason for the constant attacks was because he was on the right track, and he was headed in the right direction, planning this very special secret and praying it up.

I had no idea I’d feel this excited. I so wish I could have been a seagull flying around, coming in to land right next to them at just the right moment. And to have seen the look on her face when — Okay, I’ll tell you the secret, since it’s official. He proposed! It’s official as of 8:00 last night; they’re engaged!

For those of you who know the long road they’ve traveled to get here, I’m sure you’re celebrating with me and praising our Father for the same reasons. They have both come so far in their journey and are truly now equally yoked, with a bright and beautiful future ahead of them, and we couldn’t be happier.

David and Pam, you have much to be proud of, and we have much to be thankful for. You have been such a huge part of Jeff’s well being, his transformation from prodigal to beloved, and for that, we are eternally grateful. I’m looking forward to our families joining.

Lauren, I hope and pray that “the moment” was everything you could have hoped for. You so deserve it my precious daughter-in-law to be! I love you more than you know. You have become one of my favorite people in life.

Congratulations, Lauren & Jeff….. Life is just beginning

Please come back tomorrow and we’ll pick up, or I’ll be picking up the shovel so we can dig some more on this subject of friends and friendship!

Sweet smiles

entwined hearts
