Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power – Journaling the Journey With You!

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power. I’m so glad you came by. I hope you had a good weekend and that you recharged and are ready for a great week. Grab whatever you’re having to drink and come on in. I talked to our editor on Friday, so I have a few things to tell you.

So the book has been completely edited and the corrections/changes have been made and now it’s time to mark your calendars for August 6th or 7th, around there, as Pat says, because that’s when he will be walking through the doors of the largest literary agents in the world, Trident Agency. I still chuckle to myself when I think of the process and everything we’ve gone through to get here, but never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate an opportunity like this, that our book would make it inside and onto a desk of a prospective agent from Trident! Unbelievable.

That having been said, we’re not there yet and I still have a few things to accomplish before he takes it there. One is a new summary of the book — the one I wrote almost two years ago now isn’t quite right — and then what is known in the author industry as a query letter. The cool thing about the letter is I had to change that too because there’s so much more to put in there now about my writing, such as articles being published through EZine Articles, an online article syndication, as well as being accepted to the top 5 high-profile blog directories.

As I’ve said in the past, “to think, all I wanted to do was write a book,” I have to tell you, I couldn’t do all this without HIM and without YOUR prayers and encouragement. My heart longs to get the message of restoration out to any and all who have junk in their trunk, helping and encouraging the unpacking process. I so wish the emphasis wasn’t so much on the messenger as it is the message, but the truth is there is a need to promote the messenger. That being said, would you Pleeeeeeeeease continue to promote the blog, and ask your friends to sign the guestbook with their email and name and thereafter accept the confirmation, because these are the two of the three biggest tools that will continue to promote us while waiting in this journey; the number one tool is God.

I wanted to share with you the new summary that I wrote for The Men In & Out of Her Life. I hope you like it.

A year after a painful divorce from the first man she ever really loved, a new Lacey ventures out into the dating world once again, confident with her new look while trying to keep the key to her heart hidden. Trepidatiously she dances in, and before she knows it, she’s in over her head with men, single parenting and her career. From dancing to dating to juggling, Lacey begins to spiral emotionally until she lands face to face with her unresolved past. Through the help of The Voice and a gentle but firmly honest counselor, Lacey realizes that the only way she will be free from repeating the past is to begin the unpacking process. So she begins one piece at a time, while trying to manage life and men, the most important of which is her teen-age son. Her journey of self-discovery is wrought with ups and downs, tears and laughter as she begins to find happily ever after, even if it means without a man!

I hope you like it and thanks again for staying with me in the journey

Lots of love

Evinda

I have been searching on the internet hoping to get some ideas on the way to get our weblog coded, your general style together with style are perfect. Did you actually code it your self or did you hire a coder to do it on your behalf?
