Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power…

So glad you could join me today! In all our attempts to try and make time for one another, I certainly appreciate you stopping for a brief moment of your busy day for a Faith Filled Friday! Each one of us has a gift or talent that He has given to us AND can be used.  May your heart be encouraged to know how valuable you are wherever you are!

I’ve always loved puzzles. As a child I recall my mom setting up a table in the living room where we would, as a family, gather together and share in piecing the puzzle together. We would lay out the border so the main pieces of the puzzle would all fit inside. Then we would position all the pieces in the same color categories: blues with blues, red with reds and so forth. We eagerly began assembling the pieces, fitting each one together, one at a time. Sometimes it took a while to find where that piece belonged, since they can all look alike, but once we located it, found the spot where it fit, there was a sense of great accomplishment.

How exciting to know that Paul knew we needed each other. It’s called interdependence. He knew that each member couldn’t be just one member of the body to do it all. God has gifted different parts of the body with different gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:19 -22 says, If we were to be just one member and one member only what would the body be like?  But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. Paul’s teaching at this point is significant in that we need one another to make the body complete.

We find in the Book of Exodus 36- 39 Moses was called by God to construct the tabernacle. The people gave gifts for the work and every gifted artisan in whom the Lord gave wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary. However in order to fill the sanctuary, cooperation was needed from the people. Their gifts and talents were needed to do what they did best in order to carry out the will of God.

Each one of us has a part and a purpose in the Kingdom of God. Where one’s abundance supplies what the other lacks, it then leads to a mutual benefit, benefiting each other. We are needed to make the whole church function fittingly; whether in a church or outside the church, each part is vital in the body of Christ.

You may ask yourself “Where do I fit in the body of Christ? Do you love to sing? Do you love praying? The gifting He has given you are for the use of the Kingdom. Don’t wait to be invited; find your place somewhere…somewhere where you’ll be used to further His Kingdom.

You see each one was a piece of the puzzle in building God’s Kingdom:

Esther was used to save an entire nation through using the gift of her courage.

Hannah’s persistency in prayer birthed a son to rule a nation; her tenacity. Even the disciples had their own gifts and abilities both physically and spiritually that were used to further the Kingdom

We’ve ALL been given gifts and talents that can be used… whatever it is. He has given you wisdom and understanding to be the bridge in unity, for you are valuable and its effects are far-reaching. He then uses it to draw people of varied circumstances to the cross.

We can’t throw away any pieces of the puzzle, for each puzzle piece is just a part of the bigger picture.

For each one had a gift and a talent and contributed to the building of His Temple. We too are His temple. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord.

How are we building God’s temple…sometimes it’s just one piece at a time!

Thanks for stopping by “Faith Filled Friday’s”
