Cleaning Tip Tuesdays From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Coffee Hour!

Thanks for stopping by today for our Cleaning Tip Tuesday! This will be the last cleaning tip before our event, which is this Saturday. I hope you will join us for Spring Cleaning from the Inside Out! Next Tuesday, I’m planning on starting a new series called “Nanna Holds,” so make sure you come back. I’m sure there will be something in it for you even if you’re not a nanna! Grab your coffee and come on in.

Many of the cleaning tips in this book that my adopted mom gave me use a few common ingredients: Borax, baking soda, some type of oil, like lavender, eucalyptus, tea-tree, and vinegar and/or peroxide.

Today I’d like to share a cleaning tip that will help you in many of your cleaning endeavors and that is a spray cleaner that will not only clean but prevent mold and mildew and it doesn’t include bleach! I don’t know about you, but the only thing I like about bleach is the whiteness it brings, but it is so full of chemicals! 🙁  Grab yourself an empty spray bottle, and mix these ingredients:

1 ¾ cup hot water with 2 tablespoons of Borax and let it cool to room temperature then pour into that spray bottle. Add ¼ cup distilled white vinegar, a few drops of lavender oil and a few drops of eucalyptus oil. Shake well, and use consistently to clean your bathroom, your tile and/or your caulking!

With that, here’s the scoop for our upcoming event!

Hope you can make it.
