Faith & Finances (2) From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and welcome back to the “Faith & Finances” series. Have you ever given any thought to how much of our lives center around the subject of money, our desire for money versus our need for money? It’s actually mind boggling if you were to dwell upon that for a few minutes. How many of us have ever really meditated on the truth of what it can’t do, though? Well, grab your coffee and let’s go chat about that.

Again, from my own experiences and those shared with me by others, let’s talk about what we know money can’t buy. The identical thing about every item on this list is that each item is a lesson all by itself, and must truly be learned to resonate within your own soul

Money can buy a house, but not a home. See home is where the heart is, and if your heart is set on money, making money, having money, spending money, then you will never have a homey-type of home, and it doesn’t matter if you rent or own!

Money can buy happiness, but not joy! You might say to yourself, well, happy is good, right? Yeah, momentarily, because happiness is based on circumstances and joy is within and can’t be taken from you. Happiness can be analogized to hormones – raging and waxing and waning, never something to depend on, while joy is a candle that keeps burning inside you through the good times and the bad. True joy feeds hope, the one thing none of us can live without for without hope, we are dead inside.

Money can buy the latest styles, clothes, even popularity but it can’t buy integrity and when it’s all said and done, all you have is your integrity.

Money can buy education, but not true talent, for true talent is within and is a gift.

Money can buy company, but not true friendships because true friends stick around even when the money’s gone.

Money can buy a position and power but it can’t buy peace, because peace involves your conscience.

Money can buy you a false identity, but not true character, for true character is not bought; it is developed from within.

Money can buy you healthcare, but not true health for the mind, body and soul.

Money can buy you a Bible, but it can’t buy you the faith required to believe. Some people even think it can buy them a church membership, but it can’t buy eternal life.

Money can buy you a bed, but not rest, for even if you had the best bed money could buy, it won’t alleviate everything that goes on out of the bed.

Money can buy romance, but it cannot buy love, for love has no price.

We’ll pick up with this series on Wednesday when I share about money being like a drug. Don’t forget to tune in with us today at 1:00 for our Blog Talk Radio show, Kiss Dating Good-Bye, and Your Love Language. Just click on the link to the right that says, “Listen to my weekly podcast.”
