Fears are like . . . From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and thanks for joining me in this fun and amazing series about fears. Grab your coffee and come on in. I realize that I need to get back to the original story that prompted this whole series, and yet I seem to have come into more fears that are also relevant to share.

So I’ve really gotten a good workout as it relates to my fear of flying. I mean, I have never had to get on three planes in one day to get somewhere. Whew, that was amazing practice and I’ll get more practice in just a few days, after I get to work through my latest fear.

Lynchburg, Virginia is beautiful. I know my biological mom is up in heaven doing the happy dance as she taps on the arm of Jesus and says, “Look, look, she’s actually going to a part of your beautiful creation that is not oceanic!” That was one of the last pieces of advice that my mom gave me that I paid any attention to! 🙂 So, here I am, on four hours of sleep and Greg and Susan have treated us to Little Shop of Horrors, a musical comedy put on by Liberty University students. It was amazing. Afterwards they took us on a tour of the law school.

Talk about holy ground. So much history founded on a Biblical worldview. It was awe inspiring, overwhelming and intimidating all at the same time. Towards the end of our tour, Susan shows us a special display of a huge stone from Mt. Sinai and the description read “The Story of the Ebenezer Stone.” Susan went on to explain the formal “Ad Fontes” ceremony which is for the 3Ls, (third-year law students. This is their final year in the achievement of their J.D.), the faculty and the Dean and is used in the service to remind them that just as the stone is linked to the founder of Liberty, Jerry Falwell, they are linked to their past, their future and each other by the law so it is a reminder, as it is written in 1st Samuel 7:12, that the stone is a reminder that He is with us!

Well, you may be asking what does that have to do with the price of eggs? Well, just two weeks prior, I had sent over 50 stones and on each one there was a fruit of the Spirit, aka, Nine Tools for your Destination? Joyful! ™ and I had no idea how they were going to tie in; I was just being obedient to the prompting of His Spirit to send them. Well, this glimpse of the stone from Sinai and the reading of its symbolism for Liberty law students was a confirmation that He was with me! 🙂

Thereafter, Susan went on to tell me of some of the people who were going to be present at the event the following evening, including but not limited to several professors’ wives who have never attended this event, several wives of law students, and a couple of professors themselves! Really! ! ! Fear has kicked into high gear again!

Join me tomorrow and I’ll tell you how it went!

Joyfully,

Evinda

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.

This soooooo exciting and what an adventure. God and Kimmie V. are right with you and the power of words you are going to speak will come from the Holy Spirit, and therefore perfect. He is just using your voice and body to do His work through. I expect a standing ovation for you and the Word and many invitations to continue this work. All is well, my babies, all is well!
Love Ya and Believe in His Hands anointing your mind, heart, voice and body working through your Holy Spirit.
