Five Ways to Succeed in Life and Love-From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Thanks for joining me today for our Coffee Hour and more on this series. Grab your coffee and let’s get back to step 2 in the Five Ways to Succeed in Life and Love. 🙂

So I shared the downside of relying on others too heavily, so much so that it can create a stage built on false expectations, and that stage – aka a false foundation, will inevitably come crashing down around upon disillusionment with all the cast members on it!

That is why we need to show up, give it up, and partner up with our Father, His Spirit, because only He can make our commitment like new; as His word says, His mercies are new every morning. That’s the gift of His grace in action and because He continually extends us grace, we most certainly need to practice giving that grace to the ones we’re committed to.

Trust me; I know there are days that we feel we cannot, and do not want to continue on with and in our commitments, but if they are commitments that are good for us and not causing us harm, then these are the times that we need to just ask Him to help us to be willing to be willing to be willing to get back in to the commitment.

I don’t know about you, but before I began this series, I used to confine commit and commitment to people. I see that that’s being a bit narrow-minded. See, we do place confidence in and reliance upon things, not just people. And if we’re really honest, committing to something versus someone is usually a lot easier, but if we commit to trusting Him, He will guide us in whom and what we commit to!

Are you committed to something that is good for your physical, emotional and spiritual self or something not so good? There are two sides to the coin! Join me tomorrow for the flip side.

Committing to Him
