Five Ways to Succeed in Life & Love-From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Thanks so much for joining me for Coffee Hour. I love knowing we share a mutual commitment to understand this journey of life and a desire to live life the way He meant for us to live it, abundantly! Grab your coffee and come on in. 🙂

We left off with an example that described the definition, “not just to believe, but also to be persuaded of,” and the first example of commitment I used was our commitment to accept Christ into our hearts because we’ve come to belief the necessity of the reality of Him and eternal life.

But there’s more to salvation than fire insurance and that commitment requires relationship to stay strong. In other words, show up, partner up and you’ll be heading up. 🙂

Let’s take a bit of a detour that involves a reality check: What happens when we stop showing up?

Do you notice I used the word “when”? It’s because there are days where we just don’t meet life on life’s terms, days that we don’t show up to partner up and we take life into our own hands. I have to admit, when I do that, I inevitably cause several fires to begin burning along the way, and by the end of the day, I’m a hot mess! 🙂

But if too many of those days go by, our commitment weakens and something breaks, tears or crumbles in the process. The more time that goes by, the harder it feels to come back, but please, my believing friend, know that that’s from the enemy, not from the Holy Spirit, you know, the one you’ve partnered up with a while ago. He never left; He never changed, and His love did not decrease. We left; we changed and our love for Him buried in the rubble and forgotten, but that’s okay! Imagine His hands gently brushing all the rubble away and off of you and then He takes His grace, like glue, and puts you back together again, helps you up and begins to bring beauty out of that rubble. The almost unfathomable truth is that He’ll continue to do it over and over again, as long as it takes you and me to realize that He is committed to guiding you to and through that abundant life that He promised and paid for on the cross, and into eternity!

Oh, that we would watch over this first commitment with intensity and gain insight and guidance as far as who and what else to commit to. That’s a good place to stop and we’ll pick it up next time right there. 🙂

Humbly committed,

Evinda
