Gifts of the Season, From the Heart, Not the Pocket-From Coffee Hour @ Chickilt Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and thanks for coming to join me today for a break and some great gift ideas from the heart and not the pocket, gifts that will give us more than we could ever imagine, gifts that when given will keep on giving. Grab your coffee. 🙂

So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but my blogs have been shorter lately, and hopefully you’ve enjoyed that, but to get through this series so we can get to The 12 Days of Christmas/WOW Rewind series, I have to lengthen them a bit more, so make sure you have extra coffee and can stay a few minutes more. 🙂

Where were we? Oh, yeah, the next gift! Joy as a noun means gladness, delight. “Joy” in trials (not necessarily for) means cooperation with the Lord! Don’t you love that? Joy is within us and not based on circumstances therefore, different from happy and happiness, which is contingent upon circumstances. Joy as a verb means to rejoice, to be glad.

Did you know that it is actually possible to be joyful while enduring trouble/trials? Yep, you see the key is while we’re in the midst of great sadness, loss, testing, et cetera, we can always find something to thank Him FOR and when we get through the latest struggle, and we will, then we can thank Him for that one, too! Okay, let’s move on.

So before you can give joy, you must possess it, right? Well, let me ask you a couple of questions so you can determine if you have it or not. And if you don’t have it, it’s just a prayer away. Do you believe that HE wants you to have joy, to be free from whatever bondage holds you back from your promised land? His Word tells us that He came, healed, taught, loved, died, descended into hell for us, rose again and returned to the world and then ascended all so we could have life and have it abundantly! I could go into the deeper meaning of abundantly, but let’s stay on track. The point is, HE does desire for you to have joy, to live in joy and to give it out.

How do you receive the gift of joy? I’m so glad you asked. 🙂 Just show up! Keep showing up! Read His love letters to you, for you. Talk to Him, with Him; sing to Him. This is what breaks you free from the chains of fear, sadness, depression, addictive behaviors, and any other forms of bondage. He will exchange all of that for joy!

When you receive a gift, you must extend your hands, right? What are you holding on to that you need to let go of in order to have that joy?

Join me tomorrow and we’ll “wrap” the gift of joy up! 🙂

Joyfully,

Evinda

Hi, not positive you got my other message but my hubby and I really like your blog. 🙂 We’re both bloggers ourselves, and he insisted that I message you. We used to spend a bunch of time writing blog posts, giving are all, but we weren’t making much of an income, which is ok because we love to write hehe. That is until we found this siteto actually turn our blog posts into COLD HARD CASH. Cool, right?! It took a couple days to get a hang of it, but now we’re making $5,000+ A MONTH…EACH! Give it a look, I hope it helps you as much as it did us. 🙂 Peace and love.
