Gifts of the Season, From the Heart & Not the Pocket From Coffee HOur @ Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and thanks for stopping by for your coffee break today. I was about to share with you how I did in a huge test last year, a life-type test that has rooted the truth of the true gifts of the season into my heart. Grab your coffee and come on in and get comfy. 🙂

So as I was saying yesterday, I know that I know now that the gifts from the heart, the true gifts for every season are what got me through some of the toughest days I’ve ever gone through in my life, the last days of my biological mom’s life. In fact, on December 17th, it will be a year that she left us so very unexpectedly. This woman that I was just beginning to know, understand and truly love for the first time in my life is now happier than she’s ever been, completely sober and lonely no more. Oh, how happy I am that I’m sad; how relieved I am to know that I will see her again someday, and to have the comfort of knowing she is no longer lonely and drunk! And I know in my heart that I gave her the gifts of the season before she left. 🙂

So, let’s get to those gifts. The first one is love. As a noun, the Greek concordance translation is agape, which means: Christian love which expresses itself first of all in implicit obedience to His commandments.

As a verb, this love is agapao, which means to express the essential nature of God, This type of love is known only from the action it prompts.

Now that’s a good thought to leave you with. Come back tomorrow and I’ll finish up with some amazing facts about agape/love.

In His love,

God is SO gracious! It’s so sweet how He gave you that precious time with your mom before He took her home to His arms! It will be 20 years Jan. 5 since my dad went home–God did something similar for me. I got to be with him in Washington the last two weeks of his life, after being away in California for five years, at that time. He accepted Jesus on his deathbed!
It is so wonderful to think of him in Heaven, having Christmas with THE REASON FOR THE SEASON! What a party awaits the rest of us, huh?!

    Hugs & Blessings! 😉

Awesome blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any tips? Kudos!
