Girlfriends’ Coffee Hour Connection-From Coffee Hour with Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and thanks for coming by. Something tells me that this “Coffee Hour” is about to go live! 🙂 Grab your coffee and come on in.

At our anniversary party, just about a week ago, we announced something that I’m really excited about and now it’s time to share it with all of you who join me for my “Coffee Hour” blog. The idea has been forming over the last two months, and different occurrences have helped to shape it into not just a possibility, but a beautiful actuality.

They say that “things” happen in threes and as I look back on the events that helped shape this idea, there were indeed three things that happened to shape the launching of “Girlfriends’ Coffee Hour Connection!”

First a longtime colleague and friend of mine wanted to host a book signing in her home and I remember being so excited about it for a few reasons. First, it would be more intimate and I would be more comfortable and familiar in the surroundings. Second, her guests would come to us and I wouldn’t have to go out and approach them. Third, it was a great way to encourage more than one person at a time in a safe atmosphere.

Sure enough, it was all of that. I had an amazing time and the seed began to grow in my mind that this would be a great way to share “A Cup of Encouragement for the Day.” The funny thing about this was it took me back several years ago when I was an independent consultant for Princess House Crystal, the home party plan of the decade way back when. 🙂 Oops, did I just say how old I am?

The next event happened through the tool of Facebook. We had posted “Coffee Hour with Evinda” at Reagan’s and the next thing I know, I get a Facebook message from a sweet sister I had met at a speaking engagement a couple months prior. She was so excited about the idea of coffee hour at a person’s house using “A Cup of Encouragement for the Day,” and she shared that just that morning she had looked over at her book and thought about using it for her group’s next study. 🙂

To make that long story short, I did join them at her home on the last day of their current study and shared with them about the two series they were about to begin from “A Cup of Encouragement for the Day” book. I signed a total of 16 books for that group and it was so sweet to honor them as special guests at our last Destination? Joyful! ™ event.

Then the third thing was another group of women from Head 2 Toe Salon/Spa have gotten together and decided they’d like to have “Coffee Hour” so we are set to begin our Girlfriends’ Coffee Hour Connection in September. I can’t wait to see what they decide to pick for their series.

The more I think about this the more excited I get. I love to fellowship with girlfriends, especially in a casual and comfortable setting. Most of us need that connection with other women and what a fun way to get it. This sounds like a lot more fun and a win/win in so many ways.

All you need to do is: Gather at least seven girlfriends who would like to get together weekly, biweekly, or monthly for a Girlfriends’ Coffee Hour Connection with Evinda and “A Cup of Encouragement for the Day.” They can order their book at or through a Barnes & Nobel, either online or in the store. And if you live out of state, with all the technology we have, I could join you either in person if financially feasible or via Skype and I’ll process your book orders through my website so I can sign them before I ship them. 🙂 (The Complete title is: Coffee Hour with Chicklit Power, A Cup of Encouragement for the Day.) We’ll schedule a date and time and I’ll come and sign everyone’s book. You can either select a series before I get there or I can help you and your girlfriends all choose one.

So if you think that might be something that interests you, just email me at and let’s explore this together. I’d love your help in bringing our Coffee Hour to life and launching Girlfriends’ Coffee Hour Connection! 🙂

Looking forward to coming to you,
