How to get the Most out of Your Day (2) From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour and thanks so much for coming by this somewhat interactive series about how to get the most out of your day. So far, we’ve talked about the way a lot of us have started our days in days past, and then we talked about putting The Rock, aka, time with God in prayer, worship and reading of His word – first before the small stuff. I want to talk a little bit more about that before I tell on myself! 🙂 Grab your coffee and come on in.

I can tell you from experience that because I seek Him first in the morning, I am able to accomplish so much more during the day. Whenever I dare venture away from this practice, my day falls apart and I tend to fall apart. The crazy thing about His grace is that it’s never too late to start your day over. It is such a relief to know that we can drop to our knees at any time and ask for a do-over, for strength to get on track, for wisdom to know what to do next.

The more we begin our days with Him, the stronger our relationship with Him will be which results in a stronger faith, which leads to better time management, fewer falls – emotionally and spiritually — which leads to better wisdom and discernment, almost as if you have sort of a map in your hand guiding your twists and turns. 🙂

The more we meet with Him in the morning, the easier it is to bring Him into every task throughout the day. There are several references in scripture that emphasize the importance of giving Him the first part of the day that He has given us. Every day is a gift; that’s why we call it the present. For many of us, receiving gifts is difficult; the first thing we want to do is “give” back. Spending time with Him first thing in the morning before life grabs you away is one of the best gifts you could give Him and yourself.

Now, I am in no way perfected in this area, though I will admit there are very few days that begin without Him. But some of those days, the visit with Him is not long enough nor is it deep enough and I just have a hard time focusing because of all the things I think I have to do.

Below is another clip from our anniversary party. Remember, it was not recorded professionally and you may need to adjust your sound, but hopefully you’ll get the gist of the message. 🙂 You know you’re not getting the most out of your day when . . .

I hope that you enjoyed the gist of the message and could I humbly ask you to pray for CPM, that we would be blessed with the resources to have a professional videographer for future events; that our territory would be increased through the posting of clips on the Web encouraging others toward His Destination? Joyful! ™ for them.

Join me tomorrow for another segment of How to Get the Most out of Your Day. And for those of you wondering what happened to “He’s a Housekeeper, Too?” series, we’ll be returning to that on Tuesday. 🙂

Smiling inside,

A large percentage of of what you state happens to be supprisingly appropriate and it makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this with this light before. This piece really did switch the light on for me as far as this particular subject goes. But there is one particular position I am not too comfortable with and whilst I make an effort to reconcile that with the central idea of the issue, allow me see what the rest of the subscribers have to point out.Very well done.

Virtually all of whatever you assert is astonishingly legitimate and it makes me ponder why I hadn’t looked at this with this light previously. Your article really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this particular subject matter goes. But at this time there is just one position I am not necessarily too cozy with and while I make an effort to reconcile that with the actual core theme of the position, permit me see what the rest of your subscribers have to point out.Nicely done.
