Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power…

Hey guys, so I just have to say: I miss you! Sometimes you never know what you got till it’s gone, not to sound too corny or cliché’.  That being said, Texas is amazing, friends, it truly is.  I have everything that I love within five miles from me: I have the lake down the street, the Colorado River down the other street, lizards and snakes all over every street, and the people are so nice, except the other people that are from California! LOL! 🙂

So things are kind of hectic but I wanted to do a short little praise report here.  You guys who have known about my struggle with employment will be thrilled to know that job I interviewed for three weeks ago … I GOT IT! I start on Monday.  I will be working for an electric company geo-coding meters.  It’s a great job with great pay and I am so humbly excited.

The deal here is that God is good. Yes, all the time, God is good.  He brings the dross out of our gold by means of fire.  It is the refining fire and that’s what it does, it refines us. (Malachi 3:3) We can’t be pure until all of our impurities are purged and I don’t think that there is a quick and painless way to do that.  It’s funny because there are so many examples of God’s laws in effect everywhere from: the first shall be last and the last shall be first, to humbling yourself so that God can lift you up. These laws of love and grace are evident everywhere around us.

So while I’ve been waiting for this job, or news of receiving this job, God refined me and I must admit, it hurt so, so bad. But now I have a job and as I had shared previously, this job pays better and the hours are so much better than the job that I was so bummed out about losing.

He is so good, you know.  It’s like that one Christmas or birthday when the gifts and friends didn’t stop flowing; and then just when you thought it was all done, more gifts and friends came through with gifts that were the things that you have always wanted that you didn’t know that anyone else knew about and the person who gave it to you was an old friend that you haven’t seen in years that you have been missing and wishing you could see! Whew … did you breathe through that sentence? Anyway, I’m learning that that’s how God blesses you and me.

Well, I love you guys and thank you for joining me for Java Hour! Until next week …
