Keeping it Real through the Holidays-From Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power and welcome back to “Keeping it Real through the Holidays” series. This is the final blog in this series, and I hope that the information we’ve discovered sheds perspective on what you do and why you do what you do for the holidays. Grab your coffee and let’s wrap it up.

The various misconceptions about Christ’s birth many of the facts and traditions surrounding His birth reiterate one very important fact to me, and that is that we need to always test everything we hear against God’s Word, no matter what the source, because truly, The Bible is the final authority.

In spite of all the misconceptions we’ve bought into, the actual facts about Jesus, His birth and all the facts surrounding His birth are way more incredible and awe-inspiring than words can express. He was absodarnlutely born of a virgin in the city of Bethlehem, exactly as prophecy said many years before. Jesus was absodarnlutely conceived in Mary, not by man, but by and through the Holy Spirit of God.

Those are facts that we can bank our lives on/in and God’s purpose and plan for the way it all happened is found woven in the letters of love to us in His Word, The Bible. No matter how hard scientologists, atheists, historians try to disprove these facts, they can’t. See, God wanted to have relationship with you and I and that’s another fact you can take to the bank. It only takes faith the size of the mustard seed, which is barely a grain of pepper. There’s the thing about that seed of faith though: The mustard seed is the only seed that cannot be cross-pollinated; it’s pure. In other words, not mixed with any false doctrine, any new age stuff, any astrology stuff, it’s pure.

So instead of getting all misguided about Christmas, what about celebrating the day he came to live in your heart! Is that today?

Have a beautiful Christmas weekend and I pray that the memories you create will squeeze your heart with a smile for years to come. I’ll be back with you on Monday with a new series called: “Thankful for the Tears in the Final Hours.”

May the Lord shine His face upon you . . .
