From my heart to yours, thank you for taking a break and choosing to stop by and share this time with me. I enjoy having someone to share this season of Nana Holds with. Grab your coffee and come on in.

I know, I probably caused your eyebrow to go up and disagreement to stir in your heart with those questions I left you with yesterday, but settle down and hear me out for a minute. 🙂 It’s so easy to disagree when you’ve only experienced one side of the situation. See, in the season we are in, I can vehemently and lovingly attest that parenting most certainly needs to be a role played in the grandchild’s life, or grandchildren, as the case may be.

I’ll close our time today with an incredible key He gave me that unlocks the door to truth and understanding on this very subject. For now, let me talk to those of you who find yourself in our situation; that is parenting your grandchild or grandchildren.

If you are a grandparent reading this today, oh may this true-life season with all of its lessons encourage you in your journey and may I just share with you something that I believe came from Him when the journey first began? I believe that yours and our grandchild or grandchildren are with us as a form of redemption. See, only God can take the pain of this story and redeem it into something beautiful; that’s His miracle-working, multi-tasking way. I believe He’s redeeming this generation through the grandparents who dare to raise a child up in the way that he/she should go so that they will never depart from Him! His promises ring true. You can take them to the bank and they will never bounce! He will never leave us or forsake us and we can do all things through Him who strengthens us!

Redemption!

Redemption!

Whew, I feel like I’ve just been to a pep rally! Okay, let’s get back to my original point of why a grandparent should parent on a grand scale. I realize that tradition is tough to break but having been on the other side of the scale I must confess that there is a balance to strive for on this subject. Is that even possible?

So let me close our time today with this insight: Balance need not be a mysterious thing to grasp like putting the pieces together to form the complete puzzle in the dark. But when we, as grandparents, love unconditionally first – there’s the “grand” — and parent second, balance will follow!

Join me Thursday for more of Nana Holds.

Learning in the journey,

Evinda
