Thank you for joining me today for a little coffee break at Chicklit Power. It’s hard to believe it’s already March! Sometimes I wish I was Superwoman and able to hold my hand out and push time back, just a little bit, but I’m not so I won’t! Grab your coffee and come on in for our monthly WOW-Words of Wisdom and Weapons of Warfare!

For those of you new to the blog, every 1st of the month, or thereabouts, I like to share a scripture that we can all use in our lives after committing it to our minds and letting it root in our hearts. In the toughest of trials, the darkest of days, there’s nothing like scripture to cast some beautiful light, grant us triumph in trials and just splash a bit of perspective on things, lessening the enemy’s hold on our emotions.

Well, I’ll be honest with you; I had a hard time choosing one for this month. I really thought I was supposed to share a scripture dealing with faith, since that is the new Friday series, but the more I dug, the further away that thought went.

But it was in my search for a scripture on that subject that He took me right where He wanted me to read and as soon as I read these verses, I knew this was our WOW! His message in these verses is so clear, so important for all of us. See, He never intended for there to be arguing over His Word, His love letters, His explanations to us, for us. But before I get all passionate about why and how this spoke to me, let me give you the WOW.

Romans 10:11-13-For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!”

So let’s begin to digest these life-changing verses. First of all, He has taught me to pay attention to those little words, those prepositions that we just fly right over, but let’s look at the first one: “Whoever believes ON Him . . .” There are a couple thoughts that come to my mind: First, there are several references in the Word that talk about building our house ON the Rock, not sand; in other words, building our morals, characteristics on His principles, the Rock, not on the things of this world, the sand, which will eventually be destroyed.

The next thought that comes to mind – thank you, Abba – is we’ve got to call ON Him before we can be IN relationship with Him and He with us!

Thank Him today that He dwells within you and you can call on Him! Join me tomorrow for more digging as we get to the meat of the matter.

Great verse today! Yep, He is available to everyone and His will is that all should be saved. That is my heart for all folk. What a loving God we serve who loves us unconditionally and wants to save us if we ask.
