Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power – August WOW (Words of Wisdom)

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power! I’m so glad you could come by. Grab your coffee and come on in. I hope you enjoy today’s coffee time and by all means, please let me know your thoughts.

I think I shared with you last month that every 1st of the month, I get a new verse and I start committing it to memory, planting it in my heart so I can call upon it in times of trouble and/or in times of joy. The verses become tools for the journey that is always full of unexpected twists and turns, breakdowns, brain cramps and the list goes on. Never the less, at the beginning of August, I started to think about what had happened in the month of July – by the way, didn’t it go by sooooo fast? But I’m thinking the older we get, the faster time goes – and then I thought of July’s verse which said that “All things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His plan.”

A couple of major things that happened last month was we had our first workshop, and everything that has happened in this journey led up to that amazing day. Another amazing thing that happened was the formation of CPM, Chicklit Power Ministries. As I sat and reflected, it was as if this light went on when I realized that June’s pain was July’s gain. What I mean by that is June was an emotionally hard month for me wherein I experienced so major refining through some close-to-the-heart trials, but He took all that pain and turned it into gain. Only He can do that, and every time He does, it’s like so amazing. I don’t know why I’m so surprised every single time, but I am.

Well, I’ve gotten another Christ-inspired idea, and that is every month, and I’ll be more on time next month, I’m going to post the monthly WOW so we can all learn the words of wisdom together. I’ll also share some insight with you that I hope will be illuminating for you on your own journey.

August’s WOW is found in the book of Hebrews, Chapter 13 Verse 5: “(Your name), “let your character be free from the love of money” – stop! Notice He didn’t say free from money, but from the love of money – “being content (being content denotes an action and action involves mind, body and soul. Contentment signifies sufficiency, enough) with what you have; for (because) He Himself has said ‘I will never (that means ever) desert you, nor will I forsake (which means abandon and/or leave helpless) you!

We are already in the 9th day of the month, but I can assure you of this: These words prove true over and over and over again.

Be sure and tune in with us today on Blog Talk Radio at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time where we will be picking up from last weeks’ show on the subject of attachment, and how we attach in our relationships. Joyfully

Well, you know I haven’t been around much since April, so imagine how impressed I was to visit your archives to get caught up and HOLY BOVINE! It was amazing to see how many visitors you have. Even the few negative comments were very polite. Lots of good people visiting you.

I just knew people would like you and your writing, because you express yourself just like you do in person. Yaaaaaay!

    Love Love Love U

Definitely agree with what you stated. Your explanation was certainly the simplest to understand. I tell you, I usually get irked when folks discuss issues which they plainly don’t know about. You managed to strike the nail correct on the head and explained out everything without complication. Perhaps, people can take a signal. Will most likely be back to get more. Thanks

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying here but it could do with more detail. – The absent are never without fault. Nor the present without excuse. – Benjamin Franklin 1706 – 1790

It only goes to show where there’s will there’s a way. Keep on trying. – There is always room at the top. Daniel Webster 1782-1852: on being advised against joining the overcrowded legal profession (attributed)
