Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power

Thank you for taking the time to join me and take a break. I’ m so glad you could make it! Grab your coffee and come on in.

So after we finish putting the groceries away, we all get into George’s truck and head off to see Daddy at work. Before we get there, we stop and buy lunch for all of us, including Bryce and a couple of his friends whom we have befriended as well. One of them really got into our hearts because he never knew when he was going to have anyone from his family visit so for a few weeks, we adopted him into ours, that is until they said that wasn’t allowed because Bryce needed to have his own family time.

He always smiles when he's with her!

Anyway, the first couple of visits that Jene’ joined all of us, Bryden did display a bit of jealousy, but it seriously only lasted a couple of weeks. I can’t believe how they have bonded, but that is a story all by itself, a beautiful testament of God’s love and provision. Theirs is a sweet love story with all the shy and awkward moments in the beginning that they both outgrew in record time. I watched the two of them in the beginning, the way Bryce’s face lit up whenever he saw her get out of the truck — and it’s still the same today whenever he’s with her. We would all sit down and eat lunch, and then Bryden would demand that his daddy play with him by simply running down the hill away from us. Bryce would tear his focus from Jene’ to go chase him and engage as daddy.

The three of us would watch for a couple of minutes, and Bryden had this magnetic pull that would get us all off our butts and pull us to whatever activity they were doing: tennis, baseball, Frisbee, checking out the rusty weight set, or just plain chase and tag, and even a game of hide-n-seek.

For those of you shaking your heads and thinking it’s way too fast; he shouldn’t be in a relationship while recovering from an addiction, just know this: God is on the throne and He most definitely is part of their story, a story that they must live and only He can write!  The best thing we can do for them is pray and watch and then watch and pray!

Where we are at in this part of the journey, you never would suspect the things of the past. Sundays became a day that I looked forward to, a time to play like a child with the child God had entrusted us to take care of, days that held such rainbows of promise for the things to come, brighter days for all of us.

We’ll pick back up with Christmas memories the next time we return to Nana holds. In the meantime, join me tomorrow for our Faith-Filled Friday, and Monday for Coffee in Cabo!

Hugs to you…

Evinda

kim LP.S. If you believe in the power of prayer, would you bow your head and say a prayer for me today, right where you are if you can. I am the Emcee for the Amazing Women Event, a national event hosted by NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and I need your prayers for an out-of-body experience, that He would bring laughter forth and thereafter words that pierce the heart and mind! Thanks so much.

How exciting…you will be amazing. I will be praying and remember to be yourself…just be the little goof ball that you are. It’s always so refreshing to watch you in your most comfortable place on stage and that is being funny. I can’t wait to hear all about it.

You know I was under the “tallit”(prayer shawl) lifting you up before the Lord. I expect many doors to be opened unto you at this speaking engagement. I believe that you were inspired and well received, I believe you inspired the souls and spirits of others, I believe hearts were touched and were opened with the Holy Spirit passwords given thru your words. I receive these truths in Jesus name. AMEN
