Running the Race

We run the race not because we have to, but because we get to. It’s a choice. HOW we run the race is also a choice, after all, we don’t have to run it alone…..

So glad I always have Him running the race with me. He’s my pilot, and I’m just along for the ride. Glad there is you to paint the picture. 😉

It is so nice to read something where personal responsibility is the focus. Yes there are innocent people in this world who get hurt, but most of the “choices” we make have created the situation we are in (as adults). thanks for all the great thoughts read here!

So blessed that He has allowed me to do some of the painting, but HE’S holding the brush! And ever so glad there’s YOU!

How funny! I got on here to see if the Bachelor post was up yet! I’m still excited for that Evinda, 🙂 but the reason I said it was funny is this… I just posted this on my facebook status: “God granted me favor over and over and OVER again yesterday, even saving me from a possibly bad car accident… Today has been much more trying but you know what, my joy hasn’t changed. For on Christ the solid rock I stand… not the circumstance ♥ what a difference! I’m in charge of my own happiness. That is absolutely the best gift that I have given myself over this last year!” I am so glad I don’t run my race alone anymore. Your words are a great reminder, simple but powerful.

    Lauren,
what an encouragement to totally taste and feel your growth!! If n-e-thing on this website encourages you, then all of this learning and stretching for me is sooo worth it…
    Be blessed:)

Your comments on marriage are right on. There are sooooo many Scriptures on this subject it is really amazing that we stay married and not heed God’s wonderful blessing. Eph 5:33 has spoke to me volumnes this week. “Nevertheless let each individual among you also ‘love’ his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she ‘respect’ her husband.” I see this as a command, not a suggestion. Am I correct?
Love your website and blogs. Can’t wait for more!!!!

    Sweet Carol,
    I’m thinking it’s more a command than a suggestion:)
