Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power- Journaling the Godstops With You!

Welcome to Coffee Hour @ Chicklit Power! I’m so glad you could come by and spend a few minutes with me. I know yesterday’s time was a little heavy, so I promise this will be lighter today. Hurry and get your coffee, ‘cause I’m so excited to share a couple of Godstops with you.

So the first big Godstop that I want to share with you actually involves you. It happened last Sunday, when I least expected it. Oops. Let me start from the beginning. So I already shared with you that I will be sponsoring a free workshop on “Loving the Unlovable/Difficult People in our Lives” as a way to say thank you for your help in getting on the Google map, and for coming to Coffee Hour, too. And then it was going to be extra special because the web design team will be video-taping it for future marketing purposes.

So, anyway, it’s been my heart’s desire to share with lots and lots of women all at once. I mean I’ve done it several times, but kind of sporadically, kind of like a little taste of what it will be like to encourage me to stay in the journey, I guess. Anyway, I really prayed about it just the Friday before because I was beginning to think that maybe it wasn’t the right time yet. So I surrendered it and literally was at peace with it being His time and not my time. Now let me come back to Sunday.

So my hubby and I came out the door with food in our hands and we were headed to a friend’s house for a barbecue. We stopped when we saw our neighbor in our yard with his dogs. He has four Shiatsus but had only two of them with him. Anyway, he and George usually talk quite a bit, but for some reason, I walked over to him and we began to talk and the next thing I’m hearing is me asking him if he still is pastoring, to which he replies that he is. I still am stunned when I hit rewind and I hear myself asking him if he’d like to be our host for this workshop. You see, I’ve hardly even talked to him, much less tell him anything about Chicklit Power and the book and the blogging or the Blog Talk Radio show, et cetera, absolutely none of it.

He didn’t even hesitate, didn’t blink an eye. “Why sure,” he said. And here’s the real clincher. I had a certain number in my head as far as attendees, and he hit it dead on with his next statement: “The only thing is, it only seats about a hundred!” “That’s perfect!” I nearly screamed. I was so excited because that was the number I had been given the day we decided to do this.

I hurried to the truck and got a card out to give to him and encouraged him to give it to his wife. I asked if we could meet at the Shiloh Christian Center where he pastors sometime this coming week and he was more than agreeable. Since then, I have met with his wife, who is an absolutely amazing, hard-working and God-loving woman, and as we talked, I had this feeling that this was no coincidence; that we had been brought together for more than this workshop and that our journeys would definitely be joined in some amazing way. It was kind of surreal.

Their Christian Center is a perfect place to have our workshop and their hospitality was such an amazing answer to prayer, a huge Godstop in my life this week that I get to share with you. I am so excited! So, the date is Saturday, July 10th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 and it will be at the Shiloh Christian Center located at 414 Tennessee Avenue in the City of Redlands – across from the Selah Christian Bookstore.

We do have limited seating and you really want to get those RSVPs in ASAP. This is going to be such an awesome experience to share with you and I will be so blessed to have you there to launch us out there to the masses that we may help in equipping others with the tools necessary to unpack the junk in their trunk. Please don’t assume that I know that you’re coming. Besides, I’ve got a little gift for each person that attends, so please get your RSVP into Stephanie at

Have an awesome weekend, and be sure to come back Monday as we continue on with the “Pass the 3 Ds, Please!” series.
